Vacant role

Head of Wealth Partnerships & Distribution

Wealth-manager relationships and client distribution

The opportunity

This role builds the distribution model for the proposed strategy through wealth managers, private banks and other suitable wealth platforms. The focus is on understanding partner needs, shaping a workable commercial proposition and developing long-term relationships, without assuming that any distribution arrangement is already in place.

What you will lead

  • Identify and prioritise wealth managers, private banks, adviser networks and relevant investment platforms that could be suitable distribution partners.
  • Understand partner requirements around product governance, investor eligibility, reporting, due diligence, servicing, fee structures and operational integration.
  • Develop the partner proposition, onboarding materials, due-diligence responses and implementation plan with the investment and operations teams.
  • Design a partner engagement model that makes responsibilities, client ownership, servicing standards, disclosures and economics clear.
  • Coordinate partner feedback into product design without compromising investment governance or creating inappropriate promises about liquidity or returns.
  • Build a relationship pipeline and track progression from initial interest to formal diligence and, where appropriate, documented agreement.

Experience and approach

  • Senior experience in wealth management, private banking, alternatives distribution, fund platforms or strategic partnerships.
  • Credibility with decision-makers at wealth firms and a strong grasp of their product-selection and due-diligence processes.
  • Ability to translate an investment proposition into operationally practical partner requirements.
  • Commercial discipline, persistence and clear communication.
  • Awareness of distribution, financial-promotion and investor-eligibility requirements, with a willingness to involve specialist compliance advice.

Initial priorities

  • Build a segmented list of potential wealth partners and assess their likely fit.
  • Define the partner value proposition and required product/servicing features.
  • Create a repeatable partner-discussion pack and record key requirements and objections.
  • Map the path from early discussion to due diligence, approval and launch readiness.

What success looks like

A realistic partner pipeline, a tested distribution proposition and documented requirements that enable an appropriate route to market.
